| 英文描述 | La Crosse virus, an arbovirus that is a member of the California serogroup of the family Bunyaviridae, was isolated from canine littermates in Georgia with acute clinical encephalitis or sudden death. At necropsy there was microscopic evidence of nonsuppurative meningitis and severe multifocal necrotizing panencephalitis, most severe in the cerebral cortex. This virus should be considered in the differential diagnosis of animals living in areas endemic for La Crosse virus, an area that includes the central and eastern United States. Dx at necropsy or by a rise in titer in survivors. There is no specific treatment. |
